Volvo or the Volvo Group is a Swedish public company that manufactures trucks, buses, construction equipment and formerly, cars. The sub-company Volvo Cars was sold to a Chinese company in August 2010, for a value of $1.8 billion. Volvo was formerly Sweden's largest car manufacturing company and Volvo-produced cars are the most common automobiles in the country, and even one of the most used in the world. Cars manufactured by Volvo are renowned for having a very small number of accidentally caused deaths, compared to foreign-produced cars.
